“Students should explore art in all of its applications, and see art as a practical tool to use in everyday life. Anywhere from learning how to draw from observation or imagination, learning to express themselves visually, improving their writing capabilities, encouraging creative thinking and problem solving.” -a famous quote by Rev Valdez
Rev Valdez started on his path towards the arts and education ever since he graduated from the Academy of Arts University, San Francisco. He is a freelance graphic designer, former animator, and illustrator. Rev Valdez started his teaching career by volunteering at middle schools as an assistant, and teaching drawing lessons after school at local elementary schools in Brentwood, California.
Simultaneously he worked at a start animation studio, Skynamic Studio as a vector designer, and prop designer. As a freelance artist, he has done logo designs and promotional ads for local gyms across the bay area.
Rev Valdez is a lover of animated films, graphic novels, street art, industrial and advertisement art. He believes art is not exclusive to “talented” people, and that anyone who puts in the hours and strives for constant improvement will be a great artist. As a newly employed staff member, he is excited to work with individuals who have a thirst for creativity and self improvement.
