Michelle Yang is so excited to be a part of the CoCoSPA family. Mrs. Yang received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University. After teaching in after school and summer camp programs, she was passionate to continue her studies to pursue education. She received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and was intrigued with how students were learning mathematics in the classroom during her first year of teaching. With that curiosity, Mrs. Yang decided to once again play student role while teaching and graduated with her Masters in Education (Mathematics Education) at San Francisco State University. This will be Mrs. Yang’s fourth year of teaching. She taught elementary school for three years prior so she cannot wait to see what accomplishments the middle and high school students will surprise her with.
Mrs. Yang grew up participating in band, choir, musical theatre, and dance. With this, she understands what it means to be a student with the passion for the arts. She is very honored to be a part of a learning community where the performing arts are valued. During her free time, she likes to hang out with her husband and dog, travel, and practice the dance form of Hula/Tahitian with the halau Na Mamo No’Eau.
